WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

Who is Jesus Christ?
Jesus Christ is God who wore man’s flesh purposely to die on the cross for compensating humans’ sins with His sufferings. What a great love.

Story: One day the son did a grave mistake worth no forgiveness from his father, the son was terribly terrified thinking of running away, but he choose to stay anyways. His father returned home that evening and found the house is very calm, alarmed that something is not rights somewhere. It took no time for the father to realize what his son has done and he is terribly sorry. The father called his son and asked the son to beat him up, the son took it not serious but his father insisted. While the son was beating, his father keeps telling him….”harder”.

Compassion: Above story is a very simple parable which at-least may explain the love of our Father in heaven, good God. We were sinners deserving destructive punishment, but God sent His son, Jesus Christ (God in man’s flesh) to take our punishment places so that we may be saved and rightful for eternity (John 3:16).

  • Jesus Christ is omnipresent (present everywhere at the same time): Matthew 18:20 & 28:20
  • Jesus Christ is omnipotent (supreme or unlimited powerful): 1 Timothy 6:15, Col 2:9-10, Revelation 2:26 & 19:6
  • Jesus Christ is omniscient (knowledge on everything): Matthew 16:21, 17:27 & 20:19, John 1:47-49 & 4:16-19
  • Jesus Christ is creator (created the universe; planets and stars; living things on earth): John 1:1-3 & 14, Hebrews 1:1-3
  • Jesus Christ forgives (cleanses man’s sins): Mark 2:5-11
  • Jesus Christ is God: John 8:58 & 10:28 & 30 & 14:9 & Matthew 28:19

Let the light shines in you so that you become the light to the darkness (weakness, weariness, poorness, sickness, hunger) were hope is fading out.
Happy Easter

FAVORS, BLESSINGS AND GOODNESS IN PUTTING GOD FIRST

Greetings in the name of JESUS!

What does “putting God first” mean?
It means; directing everything in your life to God OR devoting everything before God OR doing nothing by your own understanding BUT God’s. Before you start your day, activity, business, job, eating, just anything you either give thanks to the Lord (Jehovah) or saying “God I need you…bless me, protect me, provide for me, show me the way to go, easy my path, favor me” and much more UNLESS what you are about to do does not please the Lord. Anything not pleasing the Lord, our heavenly Father is sin.

In putting God first, you will never need because God who provides and protects in the wilderness (needy-time) will never let you down. When you put God first, God will never put you second, He will surely put you first in anything, and this is called favor. People will call you blessing. Sometimes we pray extensively asking God’s favor, blessings and goodness in our lives but the secret for God’s favor, blessings and goodness relies much in “putting God first”.
The following are God’s favor, blessings and goodness for “putting Him (God) first”;

You become true worshiper
Romans 12:1
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

God will make a way where seems no way
Proverb 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

You will never be in needy of anything
God will bless all the works of your hands and your store-house (store-house for clothes, food and drinks; bank accounts, e.t.c) will be overflowing OR sometimes may not overflow but may never be empty to not satisfy you and your family. Remember the sermon of Elijah and the widow woman of Zarephath, after she choose to “put God first” by making bread for Elijah the man of God using the last handful flour and little olive oil remained, the Bible says, “the jar of flour was not used-up and the jug of oil did not run dry”, (1 Kings 17:7-16).
Matthew 6:28-33
And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

God will establish your plans
Anything you start with God, He will make sure it will be successful completed for His glory (Philippians 1:6)
Proverb 16:3
Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

Recap
There is satisfaction and happiness in putting God first, because the Lord’s favor, blessings and goodness will cover you, your family and the whole of your life. You will see God in every situation, in happy and sad times you will celebrate His presence. God will always be your first responder.

CONFIDENCE AND COURAGE

Hello beloved sister/brother, I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s lesson is about being confident and this is who we are, God (the most High) created us this way. But before we talk about confidence, we should learn what courage is and being courageous. Simply, courage is the strength (within one’s heart and mind) to face painful and grieving (sometimes shameful) situation for the glory of God (the most High). Where do these strengths come? They come from being confident of what you believe. Whatever you believe will make you alike, you believe in weakness (you will be weak) or you believe in strength (you will be strong). God (the most High) is our strength (Psalm 28:7 & 8, Psalm 18:1, Isaiah 12:2, Jeremiah 16:19). Therefore, just believing in God (the most High) is confidence because through Him (the most High God) we can achieve and overcome anything. Just anything, this at the end will glorify our Lord and give us honor.

Confidence is believing in your faith (our faith is the Lord, the most High God). Remember, God is the strongest rock on which we anchor our faith. With God (the most High) we face any challenge, pain, grief, sickness and illness, difficulty and whatever blocking our ways (our faith, health, economy e.t.c) with courageous and confident hearts (Joshua 1:9 & Psalm 3:26). Because God (the most High) is our strength and He will never forsake us in the middle of the wilderness. It is the natural behavior of our God (the most High) to protect and provide for us when we are in the wilderness (this can be anything, frightens and weakens our spiritual and physical well-being) through Jesus Christ our Lord. Sometimes when we look back and recall how we managed the worst and scariest moments we find no how. It was God (the most High) who carried us through (Psalm 23:4).

God (the most High) is calling upon us to be confident and courageous as long as our faith is anchored on Him. Fear (lack of confidence and courage) is the weakest point through which downfall of anything starts. With God (the most High) through Jesus Christ, fear nothing, be confident and courageous. God is going to take you through whatever painful, grieving or deadly situation breaking your bones right now. The victory and the glory will be like never felt before.

Please meditate the following Bible verses about confidence and courage
Psalm 27:3
"Though an army besieges me, my heart will not fear; though war breaks out against me, even then I will be confident."
Joshua 1:9
"This is my command, be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord, your God is with you wherever you go."
Hebrews 13:6
"So we say with confidence, 'The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?'”
James 1:12
"God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him."
Hebrews 10:35–36
"Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised."
1 Corinthians 16:13
“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”

Psalm 112:7

“They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD.”

2 Timothy 1:7

“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.”

Isaiah 54:4

“Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.”

1 Corinthians 15:58

“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
